Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My pool project was a tough one. I live on the cliff line at Possum Kingdom Lake in SW and there was little room for the construction crew to maneuver. Nevertheless they were able to get the pool built and it is 100% solid. I’m not as informed as many other people on the ins and outs of how to operate a pool and I especially appreciate that when it was done Jake made an effort to help me figure out how to get the little things working right like the app on my phone, and getting the negative edge and spa heater to all cooperate. There is still one or two details that need completion (a cover for an old propane valve and a skimmer piece that somehow came off) but those will get taken care of when time allows. My advice to anyone building a pool. Take a chill pill. Buckle up because it will be a long and frustrating time. But do not allow the complexities of the building process to consume you. A good pool will require craftsmanship and you cannot rush this. Yes it will take longer than you want. Everything does. This is not the fault of Jake that things take time. It will get done in good time. Be patient and you will be happy with the result. My only other advice is to write into the contract that the sub contractors must clean up as much as possible at the end of each day. A lot of these subs come and do their work then leave not realizing that people actually live in the home and have pets and grandkids. If the subs leave a bunch of debris like sharp rebar pieces on the ground they should pick it up. If you put this in the contract then you can (nicely) remind everyone that is a contractual obligation. Also the subs damaged my sprinkler system. Those subs should have fixed it. It’s not fair to put that on Jake. Just put that in the contract also then Jake will put it in his contracts with the subs. Bottom line: Jake does excellent work as a builder. Sometimes the subs can be insensitive but that is not Jake’s fault. Protect yourself by requiring the subs to clean up and repair what they break and all will be fine. I will be working with Jake in the future (I hope) on other home improvements and I have 100% confidence it will also be excellent work. I am thrilled with the final product.

CONNECTION

Birthday parties by the pool. Grandkids learning to swim. Cookouts that stretch into the evening. These are the moments people put off for years because they haven’t found a builder they can trust.

At Cornerstone Pools, we design and build fully custom pools and outdoor living spaces, carefully tailored to your property and how you use it.

As a family-owned company with over 18 years of experience, we stay personally involved with you throughout every stage of the process, and we treat every client’s property with the same level of care and respect we would our own.

“Jake and Robin built our dream pool in late 2024, unbelievably satisfied with the process. We have three boys who get in the pool starting in early March and stay in until late October. I’ve used a ton of different contractors over the years for various projects....Jake did what he said he would do and there were zero issues or surprises.”

Meet Jake & Robin Womack

Jake and Robin Womack started Cornerstone Pools with the simple belief that building your dream outdoor space should be an exciting experience, not something that keeps you up at night wondering what’s happening in your own backyard.

That approach is evident from the very first conversation to the day you’re lounging by your new pool. Robin personally connects with you to understand your vision and make sure we’re the right fit. From there, Jake and the team carry that same level of care through every phase of the build.

With three generations in construction and over 18 years of experience, every project is approached with the discipline, attention to detail, and accountability we’d expect on our own property. Our clients trust us not just for the end result, but for a process built on clear communication, thoughtful planning, and getting it done right the first time.
